Data we collect

We do not collect or store personal data on our servers. idpic.app processes your images entirely in your browser. No photo, face, or biometric data is transmitted to our servers.

On-device processing

All image processing — background removal, cropping, brightness correction — runs locally in your browser using WebAssembly and the Web APIs. Your photos never leave your device.

Third-party services

idpic.app loads the ONNX Runtime inference engine from jsDelivr CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net) and AI models for face detection and image segmentation. These models and runtime code execute entirely in your browser — no image data is sent to any third party.

Analytics

We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) for privacy-friendly analytics. With your consent we collect anonymous usage data and may record session replays that capture only clicks and scrolls — never photos, keystrokes, or personal information. All analytics are activated only after you opt in via our cookie banner.

Cookies

We store a cookie to remember your preferred language, and a cookie to remember your consent choices. If you accept analytics, PostHog may store additional data in cookies and local storage to measure site usage anonymously.

Children's privacy

idpic.app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Data retention

Because all processing happens on your device, we do not retain any photos, face data, or biometric information. There is no server-side data to delete.
